Ingredients

Scale

Chicken Filling

  • 2 chicken breasts, finely diced
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp minced fresh ginger

Coleslaw

  • 1 bag coleslaw mix
  • 4 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey

Other Ingredients

  • 16 wonton wrappers
  • Sweet chili sauce, for serving
  • Chopped cilantro, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Wonton Shells: Preheat the oven to 375°F. Lightly spray the back of a muffin tin with cooking spray. Drape wonton wrappers over inverted muffin cups to form taco shells. Bake for 5-7 minutes until the shells are crisp and golden brown.
  2. Cook the Chicken: In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the finely diced chicken breasts and cook for 3-4 minutes until no longer pink. Stir in the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, and fresh ginger. Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the chicken is nicely glazed and fully cooked through.
  3. Make the Coleslaw: In a mixing bowl, combine the coleslaw mix, sliced green onions, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and honey. Toss until all ingredients are evenly coated with the dressing.
  4. Assemble the Tacos: Carefully fill each baked wonton shell with the glazed chicken mixture. Top each taco with a generous amount of the prepared coleslaw. Drizzle sweet chili sauce over the top, then garnish with chopped cilantro and sesame seeds.
  5. Serve Immediately: Enjoy these tacos right away to maintain the crunchiness of the wonton shells for the best texture and flavor experience.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add sriracha to the chicken mixture or drizzle over the tacos.
  • Swap hoisin sauce for teriyaki sauce if you prefer a milder flavor.
  • Keep the wonton shells crisp by filling them just before serving.
