Ingredients
Scale
Buffalo Chicken Mixture
- 3 1/2 cups shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken preferred)
- 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (e.g., Franks)
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
- Pinch of black pepper
Cheese
- 2 cups low moisture mozzarella cheese, freshly grated
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly shredded
Slider Rolls and Topping
- 12 count King’s Hawaiian Rolls
- 4 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to ensure easy cleanup.
- Prepare Chicken Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, honey, minced garlic, and black pepper. Stir thoroughly until the chicken is evenly coated and mixture is well blended.
- Prepare Rolls: Slice the King’s Hawaiian rolls horizontally in half. Arrange the bottom halves on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
- Assemble Sliders: Spread the buffalo chicken mixture evenly over the bottom roll halves. Sprinkle the grated mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the chicken layer, optionally layering cheese, chicken, then cheese for extra cheesiness.
- Add Top Rolls: Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese and chicken layers to form the sliders.
- Prepare Butter Topping: In a small bowl, mix melted butter with Italian seasoning and garlic salt. Brush most of this butter mixture generously over the top rolls, reserving some for after baking.
- Bake Covered: Cover sliders tightly with aluminum foil to retain moisture. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until heated through and cheese is melted.
- Bake Uncovered: Remove foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to crisp and lightly brown the tops of the rolls.
- Cool and Serve: Remove sliders from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Optionally brush remaining garlic butter on top for shine and flavor. Slice the sliders and serve warm for best taste.
Notes
- Using rotisserie chicken saves time and adds great flavor.
- You can adjust the buffalo sauce amount to control the heat level.
- For extra cheesiness, layer cheese both under and over the chicken mixture.
- Covering with foil during baking keeps the sliders moist and melty.
- Brushing with garlic butter after baking enhances flavor and appearance.
- Serve with extra ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping if desired.
