Description

A refreshing and fruity Chilled Peach Moscato Sangria blending fresh raspberries, strawberries, peaches, and a chilled bottle of Moscato wine, enhanced with triple sec and peach or pineapple juice, perfect for warm weather entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruits

  • 6 ounces fresh raspberries (around 1 cup, with extra for topping)
  • 16 ounces fresh strawberries (2 cups, hulled and sliced, with extra for topping)
  • 2 ripe peaches, nectarines, or oranges (sliced)

Liquids

  • 1 chilled 750 ml bottle of Moscato (white or pink)
  • 1/2 cup triple sec or Chambord
  • 1/2 cup peach or pineapple juice
  • Ginger ale, soda water, or ginger beer (to top)

Instructions

  1. Add the Fresh Fruit: Begin by adding the raspberries, sliced strawberries, and sliced peaches (or nectarines or oranges) to the bottom of a large pitcher to provide a fresh fruity base.
  2. Pour the Liquids: Pour the chilled Moscato wine, triple sec or Chambord, and your choice of peach or pineapple juice over the fruit in the pitcher.
  3. Stir to Combine: Gently stir the mixture to blend the flavors of the fruit and liquids together without bruising the fruit.
  4. Chill the Sangria: Place the pitcher in the refrigerator to allow the flavors to meld. Chill for at least 2 hours to develop taste or up to 24 hours for deeper flavor, making sure not to exceed 24 hours to keep the fruit fresh.
  5. Serve with Fizz: When ready to serve, pour the sangria into wine glasses about three quarters full, including some of the soaked fruit pieces.
  6. Add Bubbly Topping: Top each glass with your choice of ginger ale, club soda, or ginger beer to add a refreshing fizz that complements the sweetness of the sangria.

Notes

  • Chill the sangria for at least 2 hours for a subtle fruit infusion or overnight for a more robust flavor.
  • Do not let the sangria sit longer than 24 hours to prevent the fruit from becoming too soggy and losing freshness.
  • Use either white or pink Moscato based on your preference; both work well with the fruit blend.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, substitute Moscato and triple sec with sparkling white grape juice and peach-flavored syrup.
  • Add extra fresh fruit for garnish to enhance presentation and flavor.
