Gummy Bear Fizz Recipe

  • Author: Gabriel
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Description

Gummy Bear Fizz is a playful and refreshing fizzy drink combining sweet gummy bears, fruit juice, and lemon-lime soda. The gummy bears add a fun texture as they soak up the flavors and float within the bubbly concoction, making it a perfect treat for parties or a delightful non-alcoholic refreshment.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • ½ cup gummy bears (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda (e.g., Sprite or 7UP)
  • 1 cup fruit juice (mango juice recommended; alternatives: cranberry juice, pineapple juice, blue raspberry punch)
  • ½ cup club soda or sparkling water
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Optional Garnishes

  • Gummy bears on skewers
  • Fresh fruit slices (orange, lime, or lemon)
  • Sugar for rimming glasses

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glasses: Add about ¼ cup of gummy bears to the bottom of each tall glass. If desired, dip the rim of the glass in lemon juice then into sugar to create a sparkly sugar rim for extra presentation flair.
  2. Mix the Base: In a large cup or small pitcher, combine 1 cup of your chosen fruit juice with 1 cup lemon-lime soda. Stir in ½ cup club soda or sparkling water to add extra fizz and balance the sweetness.
  3. Pour and Watch the Magic Happen: Pour the mixed beverage into the prepared glasses over the gummy bears. Observe as the gummy bears float, swirl, and begin to absorb the flavors of the fizzy drink.
  4. Serve and Enjoy: Garnish with additional gummy bears on skewers or floating on top along with fresh fruit slices if using. Serve immediately with a straw for a bubbly, fruity, candy-inspired experience.

Notes

  • Use Haribo gummy bears for best texture as they hold up well in liquid without becoming too soft too quickly.
  • Substitute Perrier Lemon Sparkling Water for a less sweet and lighter version of the drink.
  • Prepare the juice and soda mixture ahead and refrigerate up to 24 hours; add gummy bears just before serving to prevent them from dissolving.
  • For parties, make a larger batch in a drink dispenser and offer gummy bears separately so guests can customize their drink.
  • Ice cubes are optional but recommended to keep the drink extra chilled without diluting the flavors significantly.
