Description

These Healthy Strawberry Cheesecake Protein Balls are a delicious and nutritious snack packed with flavor and protein. Made with freeze-dried strawberries, vanilla protein powder, and cream cheese, they offer a perfect balance of sweetness and cheesecake-inspired taste. They are easy to prepare, no-bake, and ideal for a quick energy boost or post-workout snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries (not fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup vanilla protein powder (whey or plant-based)
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • Pinch of salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup cream cheese (light or regular)
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Optional

  • 2 tbsp white chocolate chips or crushed graham crackers (for garnish or extra flavor)

Instructions

  1. Blend dry ingredients: In a food processor, pulse the freeze-dried strawberries until they are finely crushed into small pieces. Add the rolled oats, vanilla protein powder, almond flour, and a pinch of salt. Blend everything together until you get a fine meal-like consistency.
  2. Add wet ingredients: Add the cream cheese, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract into the food processor with the dry mixture. Blend until the mixture forms a smooth dough. If the mixture is too dry and crumbly, add 1 to 2 teaspoons of water or milk to help it come together.
  3. Shape the balls: Scoop about one tablespoon of the dough and roll it between your palms into a ball. Repeat with the remaining dough. If desired, roll the balls in crushed graham crackers or drizzle with melted white chocolate chips for extra flavor and texture.
  4. Chill: Place the protein balls in the refrigerator and chill for at least 20 to 30 minutes. This firming step helps the balls hold their shape and enhances their texture before serving.

Notes

  • Use freeze-dried strawberries for best texture and flavor; fresh or frozen strawberries will make the mixture too wet.
  • Substitute almond flour with oat flour if allergic to nuts.
  • Adjust sweetness by varying honey or maple syrup to taste.
  • Store protein balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage.
  • For a vegan option, use plant-based protein powder and a vegan cream cheese alternative.
