Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef (Ground turkey or chicken can be used for a lighter option.)
- 8 cubes cheddar cheese (Any melty cheese like Monterey Jack or pepper jack can be used.)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (Fresh garlic can replace this, with 1 clove equaling about 1/8 teaspoon of garlic powder.)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder (Substitute with chopped fresh onion, but reduce moisture content.)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (Adjust based on taste preference or dietary needs.)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (White pepper may be used for a subtler spice.)
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8-count) (Homemade dough or pizza dough can be used for a fresher touch.)
Topping Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (Olive oil can work as a dairy-free alternative.)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (Adjust to taste if preferred milder.)
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (Use Pecorino Romano for a sharper taste.)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (Can be omitted if not available.)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cook Beef: In a skillet, add 1 pound of ground beef and cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat and stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Let cool slightly.
- Prepare Dough: Flatten each of the 8 rounds of biscuit dough into circles about 3 inches wide.
- Fill Dough: Spoon a generous amount of the cooled beef mixture into the center of each flattened biscuit, and add a cube of cheddar cheese on top.
- Seal Bombs: Fold the edges of the biscuit dough over the filling, pinching them together to create a seal. Roll each into a smooth ball.
- Arrange on Sheet: Place the sealed dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, spaced apart.
- Make Garlic Butter: Melt butter over low heat and stir in minced garlic. Brush this garlic butter over each dough ball.
- Add Toppings: Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese and chopped parsley over the tops of the dough balls.
- Bake: Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown. Keep an eye on them to prevent over-baking.
- Serve: Let cool slightly, then serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
- Ground turkey or chicken may be used in place of ground beef for a lighter version.
- Fresh garlic can substitute garlic powder, using 1 clove per 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder.
- You can use homemade biscuit or pizza dough instead of refrigerated biscuit dough for a fresher touch.
- Olive oil can replace butter to make the recipe dairy-free.
- Keep an eye on baking time to avoid overcooking and drying out the bombs.
- Serve with ketchup, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce for extra flavor.
