These small, indulgent balls are coated in graham cracker crumbs, chilled until firm, and served cold, making them a perfect sweet treat that’s simple to prepare and delightfully chewy with a crunchy coating.
Ingredients
Scale
Wet Ingredients
- 1 can (14 oz / 300 ml) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups dried shredded coconut
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (plus extra for rolling)
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Combine wet ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, stir together the melted butter, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and fully blended.
- Add dry ingredients: Mix in the graham cracker crumbs, shredded coconut, and chocolate chips thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined and form a sticky dough-like consistency.
- Chill the mixture: Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for 1 hour to allow it to firm up, making it easier to shape.
- Form the balls: Once chilled, scoop portions of the mixture and roll each into a 1¼-inch ball. Keep the size small due to their richness.
- Coat with crumbs: Roll each ball in additional graham cracker crumbs to coat them evenly, adding an appealing texture and preventing stickiness.
- Final chilling: Place the coated balls on a baking sheet and chill again for 30–60 minutes until firm and set.
- Serve and store: Serve the Moose Farts cold. Store them in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze to prolong freshness.
Notes
- Keep the balls small because these treats are rich and very sweet.
- Ensure the mixture is well chilled before rolling to make shaping easier.
- Extra graham cracker crumbs help prevent the balls from sticking and add texture.
- These no-bake treats are best enjoyed chilled.
- Store the finished Moose Farts in an airtight container in the refrigerator or freezer for longer storage.
